Strong house & unit price growth tipped to continue in 2026
|
REIWA’s latest market forecast points to another year of strong price growth for Perth property in 2026, driven by the ongoing imbalance between supply and demand. With population growth remaining high, new listings still below long-term averages and limited new home supply coming online, both houses and units are expected to record solid gains. The unit market in particular is tipped to outperform again, as affordability pressures continue to redirect buyer demand. This article breaks down what’s driving the forecast, how interest rates and government schemes could influence conditions, and what buyers, sellers and investors should be watching closely in the year ahead.

This article explains what’s changing, why it’s happening and what buyers and sellers should be prepared for when the new rules take effect.
